Choosing Your Blog Style

Most blogs have one layout style but Emotive comes with two (actually four) options that are made available:
Post Without an Image
Not everyone adds images to their posts, so this theme marks the first time I created the ability for you to write as many posts as you want without the need of images. Simply don't add any featured image to the post or don't insert any image into the post's intro area (above the Read More). The only element that you won't see here is the post date - which will show on the full article view. When you create a post without a featured image, your intro will resize full width. This method allowed you to choose which posts have images and which ones don't.

Post With a Small Featured Image
This is the default style for your blog posts when installing Emotive. It gives you a small featured image and has the benefit of going easier on your page load times because the thumbnal is a lot smaller in file size compared to a full width image.

Post With a Large Featured Image
This style gives you a full width image, common with a lot of modern themes because having a larger image creates a bold impact visually for the person visiting your site and gets their attention.

Post With an Image Insert (in content)
This is the regular method of adding an image directly into your post content without using the Featured Image function. This method also allows you to choose the thumbnail image size you want to use or to align it left, center, or right. With this method and style, you do not get the post date overlay on top of the image.

Setup Your Blog Style
- Navigate to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Blog
- Click on the Image that represents the layout you want (left = small featured image; right = large featured image)

- Click Save Options
NOTE: When you choose either one, if you do not add a featured image, your post intro will resize to full width.
